T he first meeting of the season was called to
order at 9:30 AM by our Vice President, Ardis Golay, with 65 members
present. Ardis welcomed everyone. The minutes of the March 18 meeting
were approved as printed. We did not have a complete Treasurer’s Report
but Ardis said $1001.00 had been deposited from 4/23 to 10/26 (mostly
from Ads) which made a balance in the Checking Account of $11,397.21.
CLASSES: Elaine Olson thanked everyone for all the cards and
prayers she received during her recovery from back surgery. She still
has more healing to do and asked for help from those in the Club for
Teachers, Helpers, new ideas for classes, etc. Because of starting late
this year, the only two Classes scheduled for before Christmas are:
Christmas Letter Using Printmaster & Merging Mailing List taught
by Elaine and Greeting Cards, Labels and Business Cards taught by
Barbara. Check the Board or GV Web Site for dates and times. You must
have had a class in Printmaster for Elaine’s class and Barbara’s class
will be held one day on Dec. 4 for 3 hours.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. The resignation letters from our President, Judy Armstrong, and
Treasurer, Pat Galyardt, were read. Judy explained she enjoyed the short
time she was President but due to medical and family problems she felt
she must resign. Pat hopes to travel this winter so wasn’t sure just how
much she would be in the Park. Both letters were accepted with regrets.
2. The Election of Officers to fill these two positions was
help. Arvella Taratuta was elected to fill the unexpired term of
President until 2/11 and Lori Clark was elected to fill the unexpired
term of Treasurer until 2/10. In February the positions of Vice

computers. After Bob’s presentation, Arnie made the motion to replace XP
on all our Club Computers with Windows 7. After discussion and a second,
the motion carried.

conduit. He installed a wireless router for internet service. He
