Softball Team at Golden Vista

Golden Vista currently fields 2 softball teams using 20 players. Teams play in the Sunland Village League and the Superstition League. All players must be residents of Golden Vista. Male players must be at least 55 years old during the calendar year in which they play

Games are played on a variety of private and public fields in Mesa and Apache Junction. Most games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practice is held on Saturday mornings.

To support the cost of the program, players participate in an annual fund raiser called AM-CAN Fun Night, or they may pay an annual fee to play on a team. The program provides league fees, uniforms, bats and balls. Players provide their own gloves and cleats.

Our practice season begins in November. We participate in a Fall League in November and December. Serious league play begins the first week of January and finishes around March 1. Informal ‘pick-up’ games continue until mid-April.
